Shem Duma is a Lagos-born house of considered objects. We make footwear and leather goods for people who move between worlds — from the galleries of Tokyo to the markets of Lagos — yet carry a singular, quiet sense of self.

We believe objects tell stories. The creases in a well-worn leather sole. The way a tote bag softens over years of use. These are not imperfections. They are evidence of a life being lived.

Each Shem Duma piece is made with this in mind: that the person who carries it will carry it for a long time, and that it should grow more beautiful because of them.
